Through the application eNeschopenky the first electronic report of incapacity for work was sent to ČSSZ
The Czech Social Security Administration (ČSSZ) provides the service e-Podání Hlášení pracovní neschopnosti (the e-submission of a sick leave report), which allows doctors to participate in electronic exchange of information. Using the eNeschopenky application, developed by the system integrator KOMIX, the first electronic report of incapacity for work was successfully sent to ČSSZ last week. The application eNeschopenky is determined for attending physicians and medical facilities and serves to keep records of working with patients, in particular by allowing doctors to transmit any information about the origin, modification or ending of temporary incapacity for work electronically directly to the ČSSZ.
MD Marie Kordíková and MD Višnja Jakšičová, both doctors in Prague 5, sent out the first electronic report of sick leave last week.
"eNeschopenky especially simplifies the communication between doctors and the ČSSZ. By means of eNeschopenky, documents, which had to be sent as traditional forms by mail so far, can now be sent directly and electronically to the ČSSZ data box," says Jiří Tománek, Account Manager at KOMIX
The application allows the electronic transmission of the first and the second part of the Report on temporary work incapacity as well as the physicians report data in a format prescribed by the Czech Administration of Social Security. Doctors can send their data to the ČSSZ at once, for example, once a day. If the doctor notices any mistakes in patient records, eNeschopenky enables repairing and resubmitting them to the appropriate Social Security Administration office. Furthermore the application can print other parts of sick leave reports and confirmation forms of incapacity from work, which patients need for their employers.
When registering a new sick leave report the application will attach it to a newly created patient number according to instructions of the ČSSZ. If the application already contains the patients data, the identifying information is automatically filled in after entering the social security number.
"For electronic communication with the ČSSZ, doctors just need an Internet connection, a functional data switch and the registration for electronic transmission of reports to the ČSSZ," says Jiří Tománek.
eNeschopenky is available for free download on the website
www.eneschopenky.cz. There you can also find video clips on working with the application and instructions on how to accomplish the transition from paper to an electronic sick leave report. KOMIX offers integration modules for electronic sick leave reports to all producers of software for doctors; aiming at giving all physicians the opportunity to use electronic correspondence with the ČSSZ.
