KOMIX s.r.o., a company involved in systems integration and provision of comprehensive information-system solutions for firms and organisations, has celebrated the 20th anniversary of its establishment in 1992. During its existence, KOMIX has participated in a number of significant projects for key institutions in the area of state and public administration as well as in the commercial segment, thus placing itself alongside the most important systems integrators in the Czech Republic.
“During our time in operation, we have been present at a number of historical changes – we helped to connect the customs administration to the European Union and our republic to the Schengen area. We were at the inception of health insurance in our country, new driving licences, biometric passports, new identity cards and the new registry, sickness-benefit and census systems,” says Petr Kučera, general manager of KOMIX. “We owe a debt of gratitude to our partners for participation in expansive projects, especially ATOS, HP, IBM and Státní tiskárna cenin.
KOMIX focuses on providing custom-built information systems and applications according to the customer’s requirements, but also implements standardised solutions focused on company reporting and management, business support and communication. KOMIX’s objective is to make life easier for people through information technology while improving the effectiveness of their work, and to give firms a long-term competitive advantage. In the next era of its operation, KOMIX is therefore using a new slogan: “We make technology make sense”.
“We want to help our customers to resolve their problems at the moment they arise and we are prepared to create with them an environment where potential problems are prevented, to create systems that recognise events and automatically select the method for resolving them, systems that prepare information for strategic decision-making,” says Petr Kučera. KOMIX is therefore expanding its offer with the addition of consulting services in the area of supporting managerial decision-making and company processes.
