Quality Assurance Seminar – Assuring the Quality of Software by KOMIX

KOMIX s.r.o. organised a seminar titled Basics of Quality of Assurance on Wednesday 18 April. The goal of this seminar was to acquaint the participants with the general principles of quality management, with the methods of assuring quality in.

“Quality assurance is an integral part of most software projects nowadays. Particularly in extensive projects, quality management and assurance is necessary for achieving the desired result and for minimising errors. Moreover, quality management and proof of quality is a mandatory part of the projects financed from grants from the European Union,” says Ivo Zelenka, a testing specialist at KOMIX.

“Qualified and efficient software testing, without which a software project is virtually unimaginable, forms a significant part of quality assurance. The main purpose of quality assurance is mainly to prevent occurrence of errors and, if they do occur, to eliminate them as soon as possible,” adds Zelenka.

Quality assurance provides a customer with value added not only in that the customer perceives the quality of the work as the decisive property of the system being delivered but also in that it is capable of expressing this quality of the work in objective indicators, of measuring it, evaluating and proving it exactly. This contributes to protection of the customer’s investments into information technology.
